I made the step. I purchased the etching press I was talking about with Jonathan during the last tutorial. The press was located in Minhead, Somerset. I had to drive nearly 400 miles return to bring it. It is very heavy and required 4 people to move it from the studio to the van. I was so stressed I didn't take any photos.

Karen joked, make sure you ask people that you don't want to speak with them after. So I first called my brother-in-law :))). In fact, I consulted with Karen briefly regarding the press, and Karen also advised on purchasing copper sulphate as a bath to etch instead of acid - for purchasing acid, I would need a business licence. I could order it via work, but copper sulphate Karen's advice is a much safer and healthier option. Thank you Karen!

Cleared the shed/studio of junk and garbage was a task itslef...I used it as a way to procrastinate from dealing with curating the blog. Anyway I still need to test it with prints. I will very likely do it tommorrrow after work.

This is an important step in life after MA, as I will not have access to the print studio at CSM.

I am planning to carry on printing and experimenting

The work I already have, I will use to submit to galleries, and hopefully ,I can exhibit it soon.

I will start looking into joining art fairs- it will be a great space to meet artists, but also to expose my art and hopefully start making some sales. As inks and paper are expensive.

I will join a printing studio where tI o go at least 2 times for month- so i can develop aa network of print-making artists

Contact Christian as he alrread creted a studio in west london.

Think of following his example, and I will email the Hillingdon Council to find ways for bidding for a space offered by the council for free, or cheap rent particularly to create a learning centre/ studio for people wanting to learn. I could run workshops in print making, photography, chemigrams, darkroom printing, etc.

My screen printing practice is something that I wnat to develope more, I have access to screen printing facilities at work, so I will use them to engage more with th eprocess.

Development of my teaching practice has already begun as the knowledge that came with this MA is feeding into my teachings I run workshops in book making already. I also had a workshop with the MA Interior Environmental Design students in using the screen printing process. We made some lovely marks. The course leader what’s me to keep working with them over the summer so they can create some prints to be used for there degree show in autumn.

Also there is a new course BA Film Making starting this autumn at UWL where I work and I already had conversations with the head of school and head of subject in applying for teaching one module for l4 and with next year another module for l5.

These developments are clearly based on my time and energy invested in studying this MA, the course helped me develop new skills which opened new opportunities.
