Today was the last session of the first year of the journey on the MA Fine Art Digital. (Challenging year!) But what a session it was! We played with clay! We were all remotely scattered around the world, connected not only through radio waves and net cables but also through the CLAY we were manipulating, allowing parts of our inner worlds to become external objects.
I made a mouth screaming towards the sky surrounded by flowers.
A bowl of some sort. It started in a different shape, and I changed it later.
Three roses placed into a protective wrap.
Flowers symbolise love, beauty, purity, fragility, impermanence, life and death. They have been the subject of art practices for many artists, whether we speak of drawing, engraving, painting, photography, sculpture, poetry etc.
