The above print is after I added some spit bite to the plate that I already had


Here is the process


I used Black Straw Hat Varnish to cover the areas of the plate. I was Intrestred not to have those sharp edges, so I played against I made another post discussing that link here.


I used aquatint prior and than I painted with acid over the figure head to bring in some shadows also arround the round object in the middle, arround the double helix.


Than while the plate was wet using a brush I added acid at the bottom of the plate and let it run across the plate.


This process adds more dramatic effects to the print.
