As part if the Seven Int (Karen, Ben, Karl, Martina, Holly, George and I) we had the opportunity to show some of our work at the Belfast Print Workshop with th ePV on the 6th Feb

It was a good opportunity for the group to bond and spend time together.

We visited galleries, food places, Belfats, we chatted about art, the course and many other things. We visited Karl's and Karen's studio (I missed visiting Karen's.

Also, Karen made a lovely coconut and tofu curry - the best I ever had!

George wasnt with us as he had to go bakc to london, so I used my photshop skils to add him to this photo wich was dirceted by Martina on her last day.

In the exhibition, I had 4 watergrams and a handmade book with the echograms. The book attracted a lot of interest, also many people asked me about the process of making the watergrams and the chemigrams. It was a test of how this work will engage with the viewers in an exhibition space. The work is new and is in progress, so not fully developed. The feedback received was positive and encouraging.

These photos are a photo essay of my visist to Belfast togheter with Seven Int

On Wednesday night, while enjoying dinner at Karen's, we decided that we had lots to deal with and we couldn't attend the class.

We discussed this, and there was concern about how bad it would look that 6 students are missing, considering that the 3 video feedback sessions were scheduled.

We decided to write a letter to Jonathan and the rest of the class apologising for not being able to attend

George was in London, and we decided to commission him to "represent in improvised dance – George will be at class to deliver it."

Transcript:

SEVEN Int - Belfast

Ben, Daniel, Karen, Karl, Martina (and Holly, maybe)

We would like to apologise to our classmates and Jonathan for missing the 4 research paper discussions today.

We’ve talked in length about our reasons for not attending, and feel they are best represented in improvised dance – George will be at class to deliver it.

The commitments of our show take precedent today with the artists’ interview documentary set up and  PV all happening this evening.  We wish you could all join us in this joyful achievement and learning experience.

We send our support and best wishes to our peers presenting today; certain that it will be a success for all of us.  We look forward to catching up on the recordings and hope that they are available soon.

….Something about cleaning ourself’s up, haircuts, bad 6g internet, swamped with stuff, flights, pubs, are all bad excuses we know.

See you all next week.

Xx
