I'm trying to return to the "Non-Place" project I started over the summer, so I went for a walk to do visual research. I made those images in a week, but currently, it doesn't seem to "see" things similarly to then. I became interested in studying the water movement, reflections, and flow.
I also like to play with sequencing, so I composed this selection;
The stairs should act as an invitation to go down the river.
The sky reflection in the first image should lead to the lost white bag in the second image.
The dry branches should match the branch reflected in the third image.
The fourth is a repetition or perhaps a break.
The busyness of the 5th image is mirrored and reversed in the 6th image, which is also the exit image of the river.
I'm far away from understanding the art of image sequencing; I love the works of Duane Michal. Here, I'm trying to play and have fun with images, making use of the failures of building images into the body of work "Non Place" I started in the summer, which I'm planning to make into a book at some point
